Marble body art

by

As part of the Art Couture festival in Painswick, Mandarin Stone commissioned face painter and body artist Juliet Eve to produce some body art inspired by their Calacatta Viola polished marble.

Louisa Morgan of Mandarin Stone explained: “At the time of the festival, Juliet Eve had just come back from the World Body Painting Championships in Austria, so is a professional in her field. The Art Couture Painswick was a successful event and it is growing year on year with over 10,000 visitors in 2012. Our stones are naturally beautiful and artistic in themselves and so we felt it was apt to be part of such a creative event.”

The stone is described as a real show stopper; an off-white base colour with striking deep purple veining.
“We chose the ‘Calacatta Viola’ marble to paint the model as it is such a striking and unusual stone. We also used it as the cover for this years brochure, and as a result sales of this stone have rocketed!” added Louisa.

This stone looks fantastic in a luxurious residential or hotel bathrooms, however I think it would work equally well in a grand entrance hall or foyer, or even as a feature wall.
